HAPPY 4th of July! VCPC PADDLE POST

Hello VCPC Members,

If you haven’t already, please renew your VCPC annual membership here:  Renew Membership – Valley County Pickleball   The membership period is July 1st 2023 – June 30th 2024.   If you joined after March 1 2023, your membership is valid through June 30th, 2024.  Your membership helps to support all Club Events and Activities and is greatly appreciated.  Anyone that makes a donation of $1,000 to the new courts project will be recognized with a 10 year club membership!

Thanks to everyone that attended the annual “Summer Splash” tournament and/or Friday FUNraiser event, over $20k was raised for the new courts project.   That puts us over the $200k mark “in the bank”.   With additional existing commitments of $50k, we’re well on our way to determining the number of courts we’ll start with in spring 2024.  Be sure to check out our website to learn more about the project and how to contribute:  https://valleycountypickleball.com/project-details/

FREE Beginner Lessons!  VCPC is offering FREE pickleball lessons for adult beginners (age 18+) in McCall.  The sessions will be on Sunday July 9th & Sunday July 16th, at 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.   A beginner is someone who has never played pickleball and wants to learn how to play or has only played a few times and would like to improve their skills.  Each session will cover the basics of the game, including scoring, dinking, transitioning on the court, serving, and returning.  Players can register for either or both the sessions.  Loaner paddles are available. Space is limited and registration is required by contacting Hope Ayres at 208-724-6188.
