Valley County Pickleball Club WhatsApp Policy

The Valley County Pickleball Club (VCPC) WhatsApp group exists solely to coordinate daily pickleball play among VCPC members.

Posts should be limited to:

• Scheduling games and finding playing partners
• Sharing court availability or weather-related updates
• Reporting lost or found items at VCPC courts
• Communicating VCPC-sponsored events or fundraising activities

Posts unrelated to these purposes are not permitted and may be removed without notice.

To ensure compliance with VCPC’s non-profit status and applicable regulations, the WhatsApp group may not be used to promote for-profit businesses, products, services, lessons, clinics, or instruction of any kind, unless part of a VCPC fundraising event. Use of VCPC’s WhatsApp group for personal, commercial, or financial gain is strictly prohibited.

Non-VCPC–sponsored events, businesses, or activities may only be posted with prior approval from the VCPC Board. Approved exceptions are limited to announcements that align with VCPC’s mission and non-profit objectives, such as:

• Pickleball tournaments or fundraising events that will benefit VCPC
• Events hosted by other non-profit organizations
• Recognition of VCPC donors or sponsors
• Volunteer opportunities or fundraising efforts that benefit or support VCPC

Requests for approval must be submitted to a VCPC board member in advance. Approval is granted at the sole discretion of the VCPC Board. Unapproved posts will be removed.

All members are expected to communicate respectfully. Inappropriate, offensive, or disparaging comments or images directed at any individual or group are not permitted.

Violations of this policy may result in removal of posts, temporary muting, or loss of WhatsApp posting privileges. Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent loss of WhatsApp access, as determined by the VCPC Board.
