VCPC Member Pledge
-Respect All Participants: Show courtesy to players and spectators at all times. Avoid disruptive
behavior and use language that promotes sportsmanship. Harassment of any kind towards
other participants including verbal, physical or emotional is prohibited. Members agree that the
goal is to provide an environment where all players can play the game to the best of their
ability, to learn, and most importantly, to have fun! Respect must be shown to all, both on and
off the courts.
- Follow the Rules of the Game: Adhere to the official pickleball rules during play and respect
any additional guidelines established by the club or venue. Always strive to make correct line
calls, but remember that if there is any doubt you must call the ball “in”.
- Practice Safety: Ensure the court is safe and equipment is used properly. Refrain from
aggressive or reckless actions that could lead to accidents.
- Maintain the Facility: Keep the courts and surrounding areas clean and free of damage.
Dispose of trash and use equipment responsibly.
- Embrace Inclusivity: Foster a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels,
backgrounds, and abilities, encouraging a spirit of community.
If members disregard the VCPC Member Pledge:
• If multiple (3+) complaints have been submitted to the VCPC Board regarding a player’s
behaviour, indicating a consistent lack of respect towards others, or violating other
pledge agreements, Valley County Pickleball Club reserves the right to revoke that
player’s ability to participate in VCPC Play sessions for a period of 2 weeks.
• In the event that the behaviour described above persists, despite prior warnings and
interventions, Valley County Pickleball Club reserves the right to terminate the
membership of the individual involved. Termination of membership would result in the
immediate cessation of all associated membership benefits, including but not limited to
court access, events participation, and club privileges. This decision would be made at
the discretion of Valley County Pickleball Club Board, following a thorough review of the
situation.
Thank you for making VCPC a great pickleball community!
